  All round excellence

This place is excellent in every respect, from the owners Neil & Gill through to their hospitality, the accommodation and the food. We cannot fault it and have been coming back year after year - we shall continue to do so too, for as long as we are able. We just love it here.

  Exceptional - a must visit

Best evening meal we had during a weeks stay in Suffolk.
Service excellent. Staff and owners extremely welcoming and friendly. Made us all feel at home straight away.
Bar and dinning space delightful with lots of character, very relaxed and comfortable. All made perfect by the exceptional food.
And how nice to have a proper choice for vegetarians rather than an after thought.
Easy to find and lots of parking.
Would happily return - just wish we had found it sooner.
Thank you

  We really cannot find fault

We like country hotels. This is a hotel in all but name. In particular the food is high class restaurant food, definitely not pub grub. The area is quiet but there is much to see and do within 10 or 20 miles. The Inn is lovely: comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and the food! Superb. We had half board which gave us dinner, bed and breakfast, which was good value. Many guests return year after year; we intend to do the same. Same place, same week (to coincide with our wedding anniversary) next year. We really cannot find fault.

  July Stay

Another lovely stay at The White Horse, Sibton. It’s no wonder we enjoy coming here especially with friends. There is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and all the staff are so welcoming and professional, nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent as usual.

We were very pleased to see Gill and Neill this time and catch up with them.

Thank you for making our visit to Suffolk so special.

  Sunday Lunch

First visit to The White Horse and we will definitely be back the food was absolutely amazing, the service was fabulous and they are dog friendly. Was spoilt for choices on all of the food choices, but especially on the desserts l. I could of quite easily tried them all so will have to keep coming back until I do.

  Magnificent home from home hospitality.

Our second visit in 2025 and it doesn't disappoint. Neil & Gill are the perfect hosts. The accomodation is great and the food and service is first class. The atmosphere of this 500 year pub is something to behold. All in all a wonderful experience. Needless to say but we will be back very soon.

Once you’ve been once you’ll want to go again!

5 years since I was last at the SWH, a regular visitor until selling our flat in Peasenhall. It was excellent then and even more so now. It was good to meet up with Neil and Gill again before opening hours for a catch up. Off to the football at Ipswich and a late pint of Nightingale Ale on my return. Breakfast was superb, home made black pudding and Strawberry jam. Best quality pork sausages and Bacon. Room 6 was very peaceful, the decor was a very high standard. I have many happy memories over 10 years of using the SWH particularly a 7 course taster menu at New Year, summer BBQs and beer festivals and it went up again in my estimation I’m not going to leave it for another 5 years until I stay again. This is EXCEPTIONAL!

First visit, will definitely be back

We were taken out for dinner as a surprise by some friends to this lovely place, upon entering were greeted with a roaring wood burning fire, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Had a really difficult decision choosing from the menu as I could have eaten all of it, I ended up having the partridge as a main, it was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce accompanying. All washed down with a lovely white Rioja . All four of us enjoyed every single course and couldn’t fault anything. We will be back
